UAE uses Israeli software in effort to spy on Qatari, Saudi leaders
A group of former US government intelligence operatives working for the UAE hacked in the iPhones of activists, diplomats and rival overseas leaders with the support of a sophisticated spying instrument named Karma. The cyber tool enabled the Emirati country to track hundreds of goals starting in 2016, from Qatar's emir along with also a senior Turkish official into a Nobel Peace laureate human-rights activist from Yemen, based on five former operatives and programme records reviewed by Reuters. The resources interviewed by Reuters weren't Emirati citizens. Karma was utilized through an offensive cyberoperations unit at the capital, Abu Dhabi, included of Emirati safety officers and former US intelligence operatives working as contractors to the UAE's intelligence agencies.
